PILOT EVENT - A Forge breakfast for senior associates

The Referral Economy: How Reputation Actually Gets You Work

Tuesday 17 November, 8:30–10:30am, London. Hosted by Winston Taylor, kindly supported by Jameson Legal. £95 + VAT - credited in full if you join The Forge as a Founding Year member within 30 days.

What is The Forge?

Membership, not another training course.

The Forge is a membership for ambitious lawyers, giving you the BD skills the job depends on, backed by events, practical resources, and a professional network - so what you learn becomes part of how you actually work, not something you read about once and forget.

It runs all year round, not just on the mornings you show up.

Who it's for

Technical excellence is the price of entry. It's not what makes a lawyer great.

The skills that actually set lawyers apart - promoting yourself, representing your firm and building a sustainable pipeline - are rarely taught at all. Business development is still so often treated as an afterthought, left until the pressure is already on.

The lawyers who start thinking seriously about business development early, as associates, are the ones who go on to build the strongest and most sustainable careers.

The Forge is built for associates and senior associates who are serious about where their career goes next - whether that means making partner, building a book of business, or working out what they actually want from their legal career.

What are Forge Events?

Three ways to be in the room.

Forge Events

Our flagship breakfast series. One focused theme, one sharp panel, done by 10:30am.

Forge Roundtables

Smaller, sharper conversations. Practice-area specific, run under Chatham House rules, for discussions that need a smaller room to work.

Forge Clinics

Focused online sessions on a specific skill - writing, presenting, and more. Practical, bite-sized, built to help you improve one thing at a time.

Members get more than the room.

Membership runs all year round, not just on the mornings you attend, with resources, connections and support in between events.

How to be part of The Forge

Join a single event

Not ready to commit to a membership yet? Come along to a Forge event on its own. If you decide to join as a member within 30 days, it counts as one of your two included events for the year, with the ticket price deducted from your membership fee - so you don't pay twice.

Individual memberships

Membership is the way to get more from The Forge than a single morning. It works whether you're joining on your own, or you're a firm sending one or two associates without committing to a full corporate package.
